This book is so amazing. The illustrations fill each and every page and awesome. It contains lots of history and timelines in the point of view by the Nerfet the Cleopatra's Hand maiden.

It also appears that Cleopatra was secretly negotiating with Octavian, unbeknownst to Antony. Always the more level-headed and strategic of the two, Cleopatra no doubt saw that Antony was doomed – but their children might not be.

This book isn't bad by all means. It's just not that very interesting. I would have preferred if we got to see a little bit more of Cleopatra's growth from a young naïve girl to a wise and bitter woman who has had a taste of the read more cruelty of the world. I would like to see more of Cleopatra's character of a ruler who had to be brutal and resourceful in order to survive and keep her throne. With this diary, here is a chance to explore Cleopatra's ambition and goals of why she would want to be pharaoh.
